Have you ever wondered how ASL (American Sign Language) started? Do you wonder about Deaf History and Deaf Culture? Do you know someone or work with someone who has a hearing difference? This PD will offer you a brief introduction to Deaf History and Deaf Culture. You will learn about the different communication styles that people with hearing differences use. You will also learn some ASL signs to help have a simple conversation with a deaf/hh person. School signs and subjects will also be taught. You will have fun learning about an amazing Culture and expand your knowledge about people different from yourself!
